Picture Lights are the most traditional way to highlight your favourite paintings, photographs and beloved artwork. A painting can really bring a room to life but it needs to be well-lit to achieve maximum impact. Each piece of artwork is unique and has its own requirements in terms of their size and positioning.

Not only is it essential that the light gives the right degree of illumination to show-off your artwork at its best, but it also has a duty to complement the piece in terms of how it looks in its own right. With that in mind we have a range of finishes to suit all tastes (from Antique Brass to Polished Chrome, Bronze to Satin Silver).

Size matters

Artwork comes in all shapes and sizes meaning picture lights need to be available in different sizes too. Whilst it can work to have multiple lighting sources on a single piece of artwork, sometimes it is best to go for a single long picture light which gives the right amount of illumination from a single source. The length of our picture lights range from 265mm up to 680mm.

The gentle touch of LED

When illuminating artwork you must also take into account the effect direct light may have on the picture itself. Light exposure can lead to fading and deterioration of a painting. This is where LED technology comes into its own as it can be used to show off even the most delicate of artwork without any danger of harm.

Cordless wonders

Another area where LED shines (if you'll excuse the pun) is that it doesn't always require mains power to provide quality light. Sometimes it is not always possible to get mains electricity to where you want to put a prized picture so a battery powered / cordless picture light can be just the ticket for illuminating those awkwardly situated pictures. LED picture lights that run on batteries can give up to 40 hours of light and generally come with a remote control, making it even easier to enjoy your prized artwork.
